Here is how to find your way around.
Best Tools: choosing software
The Best Tools menu is organized by the job you need done: finding leads, skip tracing and calling, CRMs, analyzing deals, websites and marketing, and setting up and learning the business.
- Each column heading opens a "best of" guide that compares the main options for that job side by side, for example the best lead generation platforms or the best CRMs for investors. Start there if you don't know which tool you want yet.
- Each name under a heading opens that tool's product page. A product page gives a short summary of the tool and then lists every review, comparison, pricing breakdown and how-to on this site that covers it. Start there if you are already deciding about one tool.
- Every product we cover is on Products and Resources, where you can filter by type (apps, services, websites, lending, books and more) and by tag.
Articles: learning the strategies
The Articles menu is organized by strategy: Buy & Hold, BRRRR, Flipping & Wholesaling, Finding Deals and Financing. The first link in most columns is the main guide for that strategy, such as the guide to BRRRR real estate or the guide to finding motivated sellers. Read that first, then follow its links into the more detailed articles. Every article also lists the tools it mentions, so you can jump from a strategy to the software that supports it.
Free Courses
The Free Courses menu starts with Real Estate 101, an overview of how real estate investing works, and collects our roundups of real estate courses and training programs so you can compare them before you pay for one.
Templates & Calculators
Run the numbers before you make an offer. Templates & Calculators has free online calculators such as the 70% rule calculator for your maximum allowable offer and the BRRRR calculator.

- New to real estate investing: read Real Estate 101, then the main guide for the strategy that interests you under Articles.
- Looking for deals: start with the guide to finding motivated sellers, then the Find Leads column under Best Tools.
- Choosing software: open Best Tools, pick the job you need done, and start with that column's guide.
- Analyzing a deal: use Templates & Calculators, or compare comps and analysis tools in the Analyze Deals column.
